I don’t know about the West, but a lot of Catholic community in SEAsia (excluding PH) are not blindly following the Pope. I know a lot of people in the community instantly criticizing any form corruption or negativity.

Some others like Yakitate Japan mangaka just happy seing his works have so many adult doujin manga, and even lining up on Comiket buying them.

The variation of groups is far beyond any social media, even Reddit or any other community site. You can get thousands of variation of Minecraft groups that exactly suits your community needs. Or maybe just a city chicken fried seller community.
