3% annual raise isn’t a raise. When someone gets a 3% raise after a year they are literally making exactly what they started at if inflation is 3% annually.
Even less lately, given that inflation was averaging more than that for a few years. Unless you’ve gotten enough to catch up to those losses, you’re actually doing worse now that you were before covid.
