This is not the first time, back in the early 2010s Facebook did an experiment with the DoD and some universities to see if they could influence people by controlling the tone of the posts in their feed, they did not inform the user. This and many others is why I don’t use facebook.

You have to empty the trash. Also turn off the ”live” photos, turn off sending statistics to Apple, turn on off loading unused apps. sync with iTunes on a computer every week or so. this will clear the system/crash logs out of memory.
