Does Matrix have problems I’m not aware of as an alternative? Saw they have 115 million accounts compared to Discord’s 500 million so its already well tested? Not a user of either service.

Is this new video footage confirmed anywhere else more legitimate or is it just some uncredited video that nypost found?

Maby if you are a wistleblower or someone the government would want to keep track of, they may somehow engineer a biological weapon that does not harm but will replicate itself just enough for it to be released from behind and let them know where you are.
You know, if that infamous author hadn’t written Do Not Create The Torment Nexus: A Cautionary Tale, there is an excellent chance the Torment Nexus would never have been built.

If it’s just an 8% difference on average it’s probably some regulatory disfunction rather than a lack of choline in the diet.

Nice, hopefully someone will come up with a treatment for symptoms or (fingers crossed) a way to reverse the effects.

The US Census Bureau keeps track of things like that? Huh… TIL

The thing is, a lot of serious human disease started as diseases affecting other animals that made the jump over: Tuberculosis, Anthrax, and Plague, Ebola, and likely Covid-19, so regardless of how much someone might want an intervention like this to survive it’s with giving consideration, in my opinion

Human-to-pig is proving more difficult.
That said, I worry about the cross-species disease potential with transplants like this. Like, not from the lungs themselves but is the recipient more able to catch porcine-exclusive diseases zoonotically now? What if they work on a hog farm and are breathing in stuff all day there? Seems like a danger that could be overlooked.

Wasnt there someone who hacked their google glasses and was getting everyone’s home addresses around him on facial recognition? I would think the risk would be fairly high to people who work with the public from these folks

Unsurprising to me this is happening in schools, they’ve got to be ready for the low wage retail jobs many will have after graduation. A lot of places have been upgrading their phones to Zoom-enabled devices, which have the ability to record and summarize all employee conversations held near them for management or HR. I’ve worked in a couple places recently where it got rolled out and there were hints they were using it that way.
Anyone willing to call me paranoid, or supportive of the idea this tech is used this way or will be, please respond, retail isn’t really full of many tech savvy people and I’m curious if I’m imagining the capability/use of this, or if others have had similar experiences.

If this happens they should check ID at church too seeing as how children are much more likely to be abused or groomed by someone there.

The vast majority aren’t

Obligatory, “why, thank you”
If it’s producing more heat than a standard world that size would (I’m assuming compared to Neptune), perhaps it’s due to the composition of the rogue body that collided with it in the distant past to give it its axial tilt. Considering how profoundly, anomolously large the current 20km interstellar object 3I Atlas is, its reasonable to assume interstellar objects are larger and more common in general than theory would suggest. Perhaps something interstellar and truly exotic slammed into Uranus in the distant past, maybe studying its oldest moons would give some clues as to what.

You just know new hires there must have to watch some anodyne video about data security that mentions secure passwords too.

Possible good side effect is churches visibly promoting candidates you dislike so you can actively avoid them. I’m not a church guy at all but having it be obvious which ones are the true cranks and which ones are more middle of the road, or the rare lefty churches seems like a silver lining here.
I don’t think this will change much internally, churches are heavily political and the no endorsing candidates law was seldom, if ever, enforced.

Mine apparently didn’t, but it’s an older Samsung. Like, micro-USB era. I’d be surprised if Google ever autoinstalls Gemini because of the age.

Like 20 years ago the RAVE Act said venues can be charged if anyone is in possession of illegal drugs inside of them during an event. Similar in some ways

Any time I see Eno’s name I get that MGMT song stuck in my head (in a good way)
This must mean the ones already in our homes and offices are perfectly safe.
