Convinience is a key part. Let’s say I have bought a new device and have 50 accounts on different platforms. The way I’d do with only passkeys is that you would create 50 different keys individually for your new device, using a device that has logged in.
Password manager? I download a keepass compatible app, have it connect to my FTP for its database, enter my unnecessarily long key word or a random file i store seperately; and now I can access to all of my accounts.
As long as I do not somehow get both my database and its key word/file leaked at the same time, my accounts are as safe as whatever passkeys can provide.

Yea, I’d rather have a 32 character password created by my password manager. Instead of adding individual keys to each device, having all decives access the same database is much simpler.

Ah yes, the gabecube

I must admit, i just read the sidebar, didn’t proceed further to the thread.
Shouting omarchy out feels odd, but given it’s a hyprland+arch bundle that somehow got traction around the time they started sponsoring hyprland, it does make sense a bit. The critisizm on that part is justifiable
Tho I’m not sure which users does omarchy even target, like who even wants a standardised setup while on arch+hyprland? Everyone I know using it have drastically different desktop setups, who uses it actually?

Just for donating to hyprland? An absolutely overkill reaction.
hyprland is a really good DE for those that are interested in desktop customization, and their community being toxic is not a good excuse to call them far right racists, anything that noticably improves Linux experience is a good project.

wow who would have guessed?

If the GPU is heavy, consider carrying it seperately. Carry it with an ESD pack
If you have any HDDs, absolutely carry them seperately.
If you’re sure the SSD’s won’t move away in their place, having them on pc shouldn’t cause any problems; but keeping them on your personal belongings is the safest option.
Rest of the components should be fairly safe to ship, maybe the case in weird shapes could cause some trouble; but if you have the foam the case came with chances are it’s not going to cause much problems.

If you’re advertising your platform as kid-friendly; you need to ensure proper steps are done to protect them. Roblox, a billion dollar game platform has failed on this. Let’s say you’re a responsible parent. Your kid asks you GTA 5, you check its age rating and say no.
Your kid asks to play Roblox. You look up, see the game advertises itself as safe for children and find about parental controls for concerned parents, create your son an account using it, setting proper age restrictions. Later on, you find out your kid got groomed by someone he met on Roblox, even though you set proper precautions. Is it your fault for not helicopter parenting your son that he got such a traumatic experience, has Roblox done nothing wrong here? I don’t think so.

Elon Musk: noo don’t call my tesla cars swastikars
Also Elon Musk:

He thinks the initiative’s goal isn’t clear and passing a law based on an unclear direction would effectively kill all live service games.
The problem is, reason behind making a law about it is clarifying how to approach this problem in the first place.

If only half of that leniency were granted to selfhosting tools and adblockers

he isnt comparable the toenail of Mustafa Kemal. All he does is selling off state properties and factories, polar opposite of what Ataturk did.

The dude is trying to delete Mustafa Kemal’s name everywhere, claiming he is a kemalist is the equivelant of calling Stalin a nazi,

as a turkish citizen, he is a fucking dictator. The day will come when he will be held accountable for all his crimes.

I wish importing phones were an option for my country, but no. Even if I secured a way to bring it here, it takes 1000 dollars just to register its IMEI to use here.

I personally believe IP law should only be upheld against big corporations and not individual creators. Creating millions of profits off of someone else’s work is really unethical and I am strictly against it, but at the same time no idea should stay restricted only to its creator.

at this point Elon should buy it too, drive it to ground like Twitter.
I kinda want a modern computer that comes with a book similar to how Commodore included one that had simple instructions on how to do pretty much everything, like making simple music all the way to programming it
