When gamification is used to persuade or hold a user into a subscribed service. Its predatory. It can be used to influence or motivate learners, classroom or online. But when used to further you being on the app, its not good.

Like healthcare, education and tech should be a good pairing but money is always driving the tech, which leverages the learner for profit. - Money should not be in healthcare, education and of course other sectors. There are some good uses, assistive tech, Moocs etc but anything commercial is predatory. Khan sold out years ago with the app and gamification.

I agree. And the idea of dumb is condescending. Some might be, some can also be smart, or persistent. That is often overlooked, and thats a dangerous underestimation.

Secondly the idea that taking the high road is the right thing to do, we have being doing that a long time and it’s been taken advantage off. People need start calling it what it is, it’s a fight and being ethically right is not going to save you from a bully.

I have questions about how close they can get to a human. Robotic have energy/force and still have laws about that. A common arm has to have slowdown or safe working protocols when a human is virgin the vicinity.

So what if a human gets in its way, say it’s encircled. Will it have just stop?

What if you put your arm under near a leg axis? Will it stop movement etc?

Looks like Motorola have used law this to brush away or silence individuals

On April 17, an Indian court issued a temporary injunction ordering the removal of all existing defamatory content about Motorola — including negative campaigns, abusive remarks, and boycott campaigns

Google, Meta, X, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and Threads— over more than 360 posts by users that allegedly portray its devices as unsafe. The American phonemaker has asked courts to order the removal of this content and also prevent similar posts from appearing in the future.

I am not sure this is quite the tar on privacy however it is a bad behavior in my mind. I don’t know what the law is looking to protect, but i am betting its not to get rid of bad product reviews. I bet Motrola are happy to advertise on those platforms.
