Thanks, but I don’t own a smart TV - hopefully dumb TVs are still gonna be around when it’s time to upgrade

Does this have any impact towards the consumer?

I don’t think so, but to be fair, I’m not using Ubuntu so I can’t tell you first-hand

It snaps off your ram sticks

Kudos, that’s an even better metaphor.

Yeah, because those devices have age-inappropriate content already pre-installed amirite???
Honestly though, how the fuck do they keep justifying the mental gymnastics behind this, from a judicial standpoint? If you were to never set a foot on the internet after buying the device, there’s no need for age verification; and even if you do, as long as you don’t visit any site that hosts inappropriate content, it still doesn’t warrant an age verification.
It’s up to the content platform to ensure that no child visits inappropriate content. Think about it: a store IDs a person when they try to buy alc/tobacco, NOT when they just enter the store.
I can’t believe this passes legislation just like that.

but I’m glad it exists as it means software/OS will have to support 8gb ram for years to come
Electron/JS/TS would like to have a word with you

Would’ve been great tech if they didn’t place fucking cameras into it

“You’re absolutely right! That was a children’s hospital, not a military base. Let’s try that again!”

because our AI will read all your messages and decide if you’re 18
What the fuck that’s even worse

Looks promising…
but why is it always electron?

If you’re not using a VPN, try resetting your IP by unplugging the router for like 30s - that is, if you’re still interested.
Fun fact: the Startpage proxy works on Reddit, albeit buggy:

To summarise: it’s all just bots nowadays. Reddit is complete junk now.

No, this is just why you don’t use Windscribe.
They have a reputation for being in a legislation where they have to save logs. They themselves know that they’re the “black sheep” among VPN providers, which is why they continuously make cheap offers and use raunchy advertising, like this one:
Doesn’t take a genius to figure out that their VPN is likely insecure

After Bin Laden was killed, the CIA released the contents of his hard drive. Index can be found here. Search for “Windows” and you’ll find multiple system files, drivers, etc.

Didn’t Osama bin Laden use Windows? 😂

What a slap to the faces of everyone who had been locked out of their data because they never knew about this crap and thus never saved their keys

I wonder if developers will finally start taking middle end GPUs and the existing handhelds seriously
They’ll have to, soon enough, if they wanna continue selling games

And all that just for some shitty AI that’s getting all its questions wrong
In general, that practice is absolutely disrespectful towards customers and should be met with complete rejection
