Weird, which app are you using, and why is it not Aegis? lol jk (kinda… not really).
M30s in Milwaukee, WI. I’ll never say “no” to a meal at Naf Naf Grill!

Thanks for the warning; I’ll leave DDG for Qwant!

Yes, I was about to say to @[email protected] that they’re nearly all using AI but Ecosia is still the only one planting trees, so it seems like a no-brainer to me…

Wait, why can’t you just export and import the TOTP data? You shouldn’t need to notify any of the providers…

DuckDuckGo and Ecosia?

Um, okay? It isn’t unreasonable for @[email protected] or anyone else to perceive it that way. “Maybe X wouldn’t Y if Z wouldn’t A” is always a classic logic chain putting the most blame on Z.

Oh.
Boring! lol jk. As a side note, I’m impressed that that backwards name is fully pronounceable…

Ha, true! You know, Meta is in massive debt (probably from their catastrophic WhatsApp acquisition and maintenance + the idiotic investment into the Metaverse)… I kinda wonder what might happen if the Zuck were to decide to charge FB users $1/year or something… and gradually creep it up… As disappointing as it may be, I actually think a lot of people would stay up to, like, $10 or even, $20/year…

Hmm, thanks for reminding me to subscribe to [email protected].

Yes, I thought this is excellent. I hope some of them will walk away with enough inside knowledge of how things work there to know how to sabotage/cripple the company in some way/s later.

Dang. This is such a great summary of what’s been happening that I will copy this for all future political discussions I have with anyone.
And attribute @[email protected], obviously.
Is that like, an abbreviated reference to orcs levitating or something?

Yeah, it’s quite good! It’s too bad that it’s not cross-platform, but I think it performs best out of the open-source trifecta of Wox Launcher and Flow Launcher, all of which I’ve personally tried.

Dang, okay. Well, then, good, we have yet another reason against data centers. I just wanted to stay as objective as possible, but will check it out, thanks.

This is kinda funny because I’m getting into Fluent Search (Windows) and (trying to make) Hints (Linux) (work), so the company wouldn’t be able to collect as much data on me if my workplace were to start doing this for any reason (though that’s not the reason I’m trying these programs).

The people I know who are MAGA don’t usually try to hide it… I wish they would…

TL;DW? Is it real, or fake like wind turbine syndrome?

It’s not gonna make them obsolete. It’s gonna keep piling on technical debt from bad practices of which it’s entirely unaware (not that it’s ever “aware” of anything) while tricking dumb upper management, C-suite, and investors into thinking that it can render so many people obsolete, before it all crashes. “Pride comes before the fall.”

Thanks, I’ll try LazyVim. Kate and Zed still do not have live side-by-side comparing-and-editing, it seems. I did not realize how hard it is to find an editor other than VSCodium that has this feature.

Lame, thanks! Edit: All telemetry and AI features were disabled by default in my installation. Was that not the case for you?
However, Zed still does not have side-by-side file comparison that involves live editing of one to instantly reflect changes on the other; I have to open the diff, and then find the contradictory spots separately in a third window. Why is it so hard to find an editor with live comparison-editing?
Wow, you’re right; it actually managed to go through the entire post without mentioning a single model… So ridiculous.
