this is way less reversible than they claim

i signed a contract with the admins so the mods could sexually harass me politely, and that makes it extra legal. no i’m not referring to any specific communities or instances.

sounds about right. half hour tv shows last about 21 minutes. hour long ones last about 42. you used to get a little more time but there was like a minute or two of wiggle room each episode. hour longs used to last 52. writing for streaming is more fun because you get the flexibility you want, but people still expect 30/60 minute shows.

every time a viable alternative is established google will buy it

yeah but dropping a PC on my face while laying on my bed takes too much work

but i can still watch netflix

I’m not selling my life, every 3 months I’m very literally buying another year and eight weeks of life, more or less. The smartphone makes it a hell of a lot easier.

So like what, just Faraday cage bags?

This was my experience this morning. I ride a trike with a big fucking basket in back so i haul a lot of shit around town. It’s mostly pickup dudes who love my trike anyways i’ve discovered, but when i’m hauling shit (like 150 pounds of cat food) they really love it. I get “how much gas are you saving on that” “all of it, it gets me to the next town and back” a lot and it’s a real fun conversation.

oh, the fuck you contractors special. i know those contracts. it’s better to go work retail. they at least will give you benefits and stability.
my outlook might be colored by some incidents but you may have better luck than i have on those six month shit contracts.

oof i didn’t think it was that bad, i hadn’t looked at actual numbers. iirc folk were doing 15-20 cuts back during the crises i was dealing with. wfh was unheard of back then tho, so like i get where you’re coming from.

it’s possible. just, if you are looking right now, don’t expect the same salary you were getting. Be willing to take a minor pay cut, and be willing to take a service industry job just to get money. (that never touches your resume)
I was in accounting and very underemployed when Arthur Andersen disintegrated. And then again for Lehman Brothers. It was rough, but I got through.
the job search will destroy your soul. take breaks to keep yourself from doing things you will regret.

you’d think there’d be more to share but no you just end up with

This gives me wonderful hope. How many of my buttholes am I going to be left with after my eventual extradition hearings to sanity?

i currently use firefox. mind sharing that extention with us please?

i browsed the web via RSS for a while. Maybe it’s time to get back to that. at least for some food blogs or something. anyone got a good rss reader?

the reason the rich buy bodies is to bury golf courses in them i’m calling it now
i mean depends which chair i collapse in first. i gotta get up in an hour, and…
FUCK I WAS SUPPOSED TO RUIN THE COFFEE AND FORGOT AGAIN
