I know one engineer who bought the Meta glasses due to the form factor. For others with the Go Pro, they usually mount the cameras on their hard hat, which makes it easy to see since black hard hats are rare.

In American banking companies, Vice President is usually the first promotion you get.

They are buying the Mac Minis since they are a cheap way to run a server where this would work. They aren’t create a safe environment for AI, but an access point on local hardware.

Program? Like a fucking farmer?

It’s already used in construction as a documentation device. Photos are big as a documentation tool and some inspectors already use wearable cameras as a tool.

Conservatives like using X.

I don’t think they’ve said anything yet, but I don’t know if the tech is there for identifying random people.

Yeah, but you got to be able to word it right.
Does your friend have an ex they don’t want to know where they are?
As I recall, Ring doesn’t provide camera footage to everyone on demand, just law enforcement. I can easily see Ring advertising back saying they only provide data to law enforcement to help prosecute criminals or willingly shared by Ring owners.
Leaning on the ICE issues right now would also work in some areas.
Some areas, yes. However, that could end up implying that the camera system is being used to capture criminals in general.
It is a better idea than vandalism, but it requires thinking though to make sure that Amazon doesn’t get a quick win.

That’s just going to grow adoption.
People are buying Ring cameras/AI surveillance because they feel unsafe and are using these cameras to feel safer. If cameras start to get damaged in a specific neighborhood, residents are likely going to see it as a coordinated attack and invest in more cameras, including cameras to watch the other cameras.

They’re already doing it to access the social security website.

But the magical box has changed shape and change is scary.

It isn’t even just the performance and bloat issues or the AI.
As you hinted, Windows 11 made a lot of changes to the UI. I can’t think of a single change made which I liked as someone who has had to deal with Windows since before 95. Windows 11 felt like a downgrade from Windows 10.
You’ve got a lot of managers with purchasing authority who developed a ton of muscle memory on old Windows. The new UI changes have made Windows feel alien enough that you can’t use retraining costs as an excuse to keep with Windows.

Windows 11.1.1 for desktops?

It is easier to get the public to accept they don’t have a safety driver involved at all with this middle step.

I believe enough of them are American and Lemmy is a dumb place to create a bot army.

Probably kinda.
I imagine that someone who can’t draw for crap using AI to create the visual component to their stories. They may also use AI to create character “voices” who say things in their specific manner
Manga production costs drop as a writer doesn’t need as many skills to write them and the AI handles more of the heavy lifting when it comes to generating content.
Eventually one of these slop mangas becomes popular enough to get animated. Since it is animated, it becomes a lot easier to make. My guess is that the beginning looks like AI empowered rotoscoping, human actors provide the movements which become the basis of animated characters. You can even do voice modulation too, so the vocal performance gets swapped to the right voice.
These animes might be less popular, but if they are being made at a fraction of the cost of human animation.

A lot of people are like that. It is just that the rich are able to do something about it.
It isn’t just one country doing it, it is just the one most reported on in English language news.
