The long range model’s EPA range is 240mi, so 120mi while towing, more like 100mi considering that you absolutely cannot run an EV 100 to 0, and that’s best case scenario. That maximum 100mi is not enough for a day of landscaping.

The slate software is in no way going to be the industry standard. Car manufacturers are all looking to create parasitic software for their cars.
Slate is DOA based solely on how terrible the range will be.

To be fair, I’m waiting on the R2 as well, but I’m strapping in for first generation fit and finish issues galore. Rivian hasn’t surpassed Tesla in software or aftermarket flexibility.
Not to mention, we probably won’t be able to take delivery until late this year despite paying for a reservation from this past March.

The bz4x/bz/Solterra is still the worst EV on the road, bar none.
Worst range of all EVs, flip phone quality software center stack, and the same price as a model y. It’s nuts that anyone would buy those pieces of shit.

No bullshit, that’s what I’m already doing

Are there any good apps that act as a map that let you search for a comprehensive list of restaurants with filters? I use Maps to look for food, and it’s slowly becoming harder and harder to find anything new because the only places that show up are garbage fast food or places I frequent. It’s so hard to find new places!

Genuinely, can you link me to it? And not an icon pack,I want the entire system ui to be glossy and blurry.

If graphene had Liquid Glass I’d unironically switch to it. I can’t stand flat looking UI.
No one is going to switch to windows/Linux to run classroom software, especially not instrumentation software. There’s always a terminal PC connected to the instrumentation machine that’s connected to the internet to just send your data to yourself. Gen Alpha kids in the US have been raised on iPads and some are as technologically handicapped as boomers when it comes to desktop OS software.
People who want a low cost option are generally not in the Apple ecosystem because the rest of the products are out of their price range. Then, there’s my husband that hates anything that isn’t Windows because he finds macOS and Linux too much to relearn. These products are coming about now to capture the Gen Alpha kids getting ready for college, who are like 90:100 iPhone and iPad users (in the US).

Just for context, pancreatic cancer is objectively the worst cancer to get. Any news regarding pancreatic cancer is good news.

This is probably awful for the end consumer because they’ll use that lower rung in the price ladder to increase prices of the M series chips going forward. Technology is supposed to get cheaper over time, not slowly increase in price.

No clickbait titles please

Niche communities don’t turn on a dime to a new platform. He’s on Twitter because his audience is on Twitter.

I buy the card with the highest benchmark scores that I can afford. It’s not a political green vs red choice.

The whole entire point of a car is long road trips though. Especially in Europe, you want to live as close to your job as possible.

Fixed the link for you 🙂
People only thought that because of PC windows. I saw windows phone for the first time and thought it was the worst UI design I’ve ever seen.
Every other EV has a 50% range penalty while towing. This won’t be any different. The ~85 kilowatt hour battery in the state truck is the same-ish capacity as the model Y, but has 2/3 less range total than the model Y. Sadly, there’s no way that it’s more efficient than the model Y.
That said, for sure using the bed to haul tools would be more efficient, but now you’re talking about using gas tools because there’s not enough capacity in the truck to charge them up between jobs. They needed to make this thing the “model 3/Y, but a truck”, but they failed even at that.
