… Did it give good advice, though?
Silicone can be expensive, and I have a Lidl just down the road.

This was my issue with them, back in the day. I loved the sound (minus the leaking), however they were always getting caught in my hair.

What I’ve noticed is YouTube recommending me more obscure videos, from very small creators.
I very much appreciate whatever they’re doing, regardless of how these bigger channels are being hit by it. Yesterday I got recommended a video by an elderly woman, showing a mug warmer she bought. It was very sweet, had less than 30 views and it was a lovely contrast to the flashy, over edited videos stretching a paragraph to 10+ minutes.
Not saying the big channels are bad, I just personally like the small time channels and appreciate that YouTube has been (at least with the algorithm it has set for me) giving these small channels a shot at getting an audience.
I’ve connected with a lot of people from smaller channels, joined communities etc. yet this is much more difficult with the larger ones (in some I’ve been to, over the years, the chatrooms they set up are so huge the moderation sometimes just gives up or doesn’t even exist in any practical way).

I hope they don’t block VPN access.

So this is what they meant by Jesus’ second coming.

BBC has been ramping up the scare mongering lately. I mean, moreso than usual. Maybe I’m just noticing it more though.

You’re right in that you’d have to install an APK, from outside of the Play Store, however if you’re aware of the right sources of the right apps your security should be fine (you can disable the ability to install apps from unknown sources after you’ve got the YouTube alternative app, without affecting it, if you’re worried about that).
There are a few steps, which are usually straight forward, listed here: https://github.com/yuliskov/SmartTube
If you follow that link it should have further links for an installation tutorial (they also link a YouTube tutorial to make things easier).
If you do go down that route, it’s a much more pleasant experience imho. No ads, Sponsorblock for in-video ad segments, complete control over quality of video, audio, options to manually force specific codecs, etc.

Do you have the option to install Android apps onto your TV? Or if it has another OS with the option?

I did an upgrade, instead of a clean install, to the same version. I just had to reinstall my graphics driver and everything works as before, I just went through another step to remove some programs and it’s been smooth sailing since.
Massgrave.dev provided what I needed. Was a breeze.

I’ll believe it when it happens, until then all I hear are promises that could be broken.
Words alone are meaningless.

Sponsorblock usually helps with that.

How do you tame a horse in Minecraft?
I need to know for… Reasons.
Not much, what’s an AP with you?
