Fantastic list, thank you so much!
I saved your post and will be using it as my reference; this is a better list than I made for myself. Albeit I already follow most of your recommendations:
Is there a reason why you don’t have YubiKey on your list?
I didn’t like it at first but now I highly recommend it.
What about the Camera Shy Hoodie? I know it’s DIY but IMO there are people here that might be willing to make it themselves.
Those Reflectacles are a bit expensive so they’re already on my wishlist! I also saved this: 7 Privacy Garments That Block Surveillance Cameras
You rock, Charger8232! Thanks again!
EDIT: I forgot about Zenni glasses:
EyeQLenz and Zenni ID Guard™ are designed to reflect signals to help disrupt unwanted tracking under certain conditions. Results may vary due to recognition technology and environmental factors. Zenni does not guarantee that its products provide anonymity or total protection from surveillance and biometric identification.

I don’t have that option :•{ but I just saw that there’s an update! Thanks, muzzle! =]

Really? How? I just tried, just now. Been using FF for years and never had that option.
Can you please tell me how? Also, thanks!

Firefox Focus is more of a quick search, you can’t open another tab/window type of browser, hence Focus. As soon as you close it, FF will automatically delete everything. Think of it as disposable, one-time use search and browser. I use it on my phone.
If you’re looking for a browser with privacy features that you can use everyday and customize like DuckDuckGo, then maybe you should consider IronFox. I sometimes use it on my tablet; I like to separate work from personal stuff.
DuckDuckGo is what I use when I want to watch something on YouTube, it has Duck Player.
Not sure what your goal is but if you like having different browsers for different purposes, these may be of use:
Which Is Better Duckduckgo Or Firefox
Hope that helps. Good luck.

What about Session? It’s cross-platform and decentralized.
There’s also Simple X chat which is also cross-platform and foss.
You can send photos and files on both. There’s no need for email and phone to sign up. My friends and I like Session for it’s simplicity but my niece made everybody download Simple X because it’s “prettier”.

This screenshot is from July 2025 when I got hit with a paywall and was served with a ton of cookies, so I set my VPN to UK, lol.

EDIT: This was around the same time as POTUS hit UK with tariffs.

Done. Had to figure out where to go to change my profile pic – didn’t take as long as the video, lol.

Perhaps our British friends should start wearing the Camera-Shy Hoodie?

You’re right, de-AWS will be difficult but maybe you can critique this Github* list.
*Github’s is owned by Microsoft.

Oh good, so glad you’re back!

TBH it’s been frustrating to see how watered down the reporting has been this year.
Agreed. Perhaps it’s because they were trying hard to deliver unbiased news (which is boring), whilst every other news station focuses on sensationalism or clickbait to get more viewers.
Regardless, they lost their federal funding anyway simply because they did their job and did it well IMO. Sad.

MRBO + AI = Skynet 🤯

You’ll have to go through Murena for the Fairphone 4. More details on my comment here about US coverage.

Call your credit card company. Depending on the company/bank, they will either give you a few virtual numbers and/or have the option of having one virtual number locked to a certain merchant or utility company.
There’s MySudo (which I subscribe to) but they charge 3%. It’s basically the same as using Privacy.com. Good luck!
EDIT MySudo is not open-source, sorry.

Thank you, so is yours! Nice to meet you, “It”.

Happy cake day, Jimmycakes! 🍰
Thank you for answering my questions and I appreciate your clear explanation. I am looking forward to seeing more of your posts. (๑・̑◡・̑๑)
