I have downloaded my own LLM that can be used on my own computer… So the only cost is electricity since I upgraded my computer before the prices went to shit. Newegg even gave me free RAM with the purchase of a motherboard so I lucked out on that. Storage is not an issue too since I got that back in 2024 knowing Trump would fuck everything up.

And no, people might not respond the same way to my work, but then again I’m not taking any work away from anyone else because then it would not even exist. If you want to fund me and the artist for our work, then okay. Show me the money.

One thing I’ve noticed is that I see many more people complain about slop than slop itself. It’s so annoying at this point that’s it’s making me go in the opposite direction. Hey everyone, slop here… Microsoft slop here… Use Linux Linux Linux. Slop slop slop. Sloppy joes. It’s like candlestick makers complaining to Nikola Tesla.

I’m a writer. I got paid to write on a few things here and there, but mostly there are just huge barriers for people without connections.

I plan on using AI to turn my writing into a visual animated format for people to consume. I don’t much care about the style of art, I just want my work to be seen. I can’t afford to pay for artists. If I could, I would. But at least, this would give me an opportunity to show my work without some execs saying no a hundred times.

When I look at the art for cartoons in the 70s/80s, there is so much crap animation with mistakes and duplications, you would think it’s “a.i. slop.” I understand that these were done overseas, pumped out quickly so quality control was overlooked for speed… but it wasn’t the animation I was interested in, it was the stories and characters.

I still think original artists will continue to exist. A.I. is just another tool. People will get bored of the same old stuff and want originality. I really hope it’ll make our lives better in the long run, but we’re just in the weird middle stage of A.I. crawling before running.

At least, it’s not just someone watching a YouTube video of someone else playing… though I imagine some of that is just due to affordability.

I know my young nephew gets frustrated on some games and then just gives up… even if he knows what to do. Maybe when he’s older he could get better at those, but by that time, he’ll be on to something else.

It’s kind of like the old Nintendo hotline. Call when you’re stuck on something in a game. Or just looking up a walkthrough online.

That said, this makes it far easier to ask for help and kids might just rely on it too much instead of figuring stuff out on their own.

I mean, it sucks, but it could’ve happened with a human driver as well… and likely has happened.

I have rode in a Waymo and it shows you all the things it detects on a screen… which includes humans and small animals. It’s not a perfect machine, but it probably is a better driver than a lot of people already and it’s learning every day.

I suppose this incident could get Waymo to put cameras/sensors beneath the car… something that regular car makers won’t think about.

But yeah, it should’ve detected the cat beforehand and waited for it to leave before driving off. Then again, the human passengers didn’t see it either.

MONEY is all they care about. So it matters.

I don’t want 8K. I want my current 4K streaming to have less pixilation. I want my sound to be less compressed. Make them closer to Ultra BluRay disc quality before forcing 8K down our throats… unless doing that gives us better 4K overall.

I used Avis in a different state for a short car rental and they sent me a hefty bill for some kind of damage below the vehicle a couple months after returning it.

I liked Zune. Microsoft is the real killer of their own demise. They have great products/ideas, but they just torch them before they take root.

They did. It was so awful with hardly any updates. I bought some things on it but usually when it was on major discount and connected to Movies Anywhere so I could watch it elsewhere.

I don’t know why they had the same movie for sale… one with bonus features, one without… for the same price. Every other platform includes the bonus features automatically. Why separate them? Is there someone out there thinking, hmm… I like this movie, but I don’t want the bonus features.
