It’s garbage.
The laundry list of items is nothing more than the usual “be active, don’t drink, don’t smoke, reduce your stress, etc, etc”, with no data, no quantification, etc.

Your ignorance is astounding.

How about neither?

No, just this thought belongs in Shower Thoughts.
This “Nobel Laureate” needs to check his hubris and condescension.

No shit? 🤦

Having worked with lots of dogs (including obedience trials) - the #1 indicator of dog behaviour is the dog’s human.

And BP meds are known to cause things like arrhythmia and kidney failure.
Fuck you.

And I bet it really only applies to the really bad diets.
I’ve read a LOT about cardiovascular studies (along with diabetes) because they’re both in my family - bottom line is genetics is the primary driver for cardiovascular disease, and no one wants to acknowledge it.
Diet and exercise can make a difference if your disease is caused by… (bad) diet and (lack of) exercise - which is a small fraction of people.
We’ve seen Olympic athletes - runners notably - with significant cardiovascular issues. Clearly it wasn’t caused by a lack of exercise, and I really doubt their diet was the cause.

So they admit most don’t?

Not just diabetes - glucose instability (whether spikes or lows) are hugely influential to all sorts of disease processes, and is likely a major cause of coronary issues in the last 40 years (since the start of low-fat nonsense in the 80’s).

Except that’s not what 99% of the punditorium espouses - for the last 15 years it’s been a continuous litany of “intermittent fasting is THE answer”, and anyone disagreeing is roundly condemned.
Despite 80 years of diabetes research that contradicts much of the argument for fasting.

Wow.
Guess their definition of test and mine are different. I’d want a whole slew of testing regimen, including test to failure over a long time - essentially years of running it unmanned.

Haha.
If only they’d done a 30 second search on why this is a bad idea… Or the lack of testing.

It’s still astounding that really happened and wasn’t just the plot of a “Down Periscope” type movie.

Hahah

Apple is hypocritical, and has been for 40 years.
OK, so what are they doing (wasn’t explained in the article).
Because it’s pretty easy to triangulate a phone just from the towers themselves - multiple towers pickup a phone, then based on signal strength and direction from each tower it’s location can be pretty closely determined.
And with 5G cells being even smaller (often 1/4 mile in urban areas), the radio signal alone, triangulated, will locate you within a meter - the phone doesn’t have to do anything other than be on.

Why would anyone use the “transparent” mode? Seems rather pointless.

Well, pretty much everyone gets cancer of they live long enough.
I’ll take it.
You’d think any study would use life-span-adjusted stats, but I almost never see that.
