An apple gag sounds appropriate.

People: “I was thinking no semen?” Scientists: “huh… Now that you mention it, I guess we could turn it into a virus and have it grow into pustules that will vaccinate others around you when they pop” People: “what semen options do I have again?”

I imagine it was a series of discoveries that led to one… Very weird conclusion.

I did my time 20+ years ago and suddenly I’m eligible again?!? This bullshit reeks of 1944 Germany. How long before they’re trying to recruit my son? How long before my son isn’t given a choice? I’ll fight on any opposing side before I let that happen.
Or? I think you mean and. Then throw several more ands in there, including AI platforms, surveillance tech, right wing PACs, and overall enshitification and misinformation.

It’s a shame that people this shitty still exist.

Coffee does fuck all to me, I don’t know if it’s the ADHD or years of drinking too much pop or something.

Home before Christmas!

I hear epistemology and all I think of is science deniers, and homeopathic remedies.
And certainly, ones knowledge and understanding of science, especially interplanetary science and the cosmos can alter your philosophical views. But philosophy shouldn’t cloud science.

It wouldn’t even necessarily need to be life, but the building blocks of life, to make it significant.

It may not be proof, but it’s evidence. Philosophy isnt science.

There are MANY steps to prove something this big. You have to gather as much evidence as you can before saying it outright, and that may take decades.

Imagine scaling it up to infinite, like say you could get 30 million wind turbines tall enough to be directly in the jet stream. That’s going to affect other things. It’ll slow the jet stream or make it move. It’s resistance, and if you know your physics, you know that any kind of resistance is going to effect other things. Hell, large dams and tsunamis change the earths rotation. Yeah the effect is small with things like resistance power, but if you ratchet it up, and over time? Yeah, it’ll change things in unexpected ways. Maxing solar is of upmost importance.
A) sell at a loss to take smaller players off the board because they can’t compete at those prices. Because they can’t afford to sell at a loss.
B) speech check is an RPG saying. Basically they’re trying to fool the user but the users didn’t fall for it.
C) correct. He made a mistake thinking he could get people to use VR on a level like WALL-E or ready player one. He tried to make one dystopia happen and failed because we’re not quite at the level of desperation that we need or can acceptably make VR vacations a viable product.
It’s more than that. It’s a hostile business move to corner the market and kill off other brands, they absolutely had the money to accomplish this. The brand image? They failed that speech check. Beyond that, there simply isn’t enough interest in VR to make a killing off of a monopoly even if they had one.

Jesus fucking Christ.

Companies have been owning bits of the human genetic code for decades.

Is it NYC now? I remember it being London a while back, but considering the money, I wouldn’t be surprised if it was NYC now.

Oh shit, yeah that wouldn’t be good at all then. Like a galactic deli slicer. Time to take some X, listen to edm and get the glow sticks out.
