I could have sworn that we’ve known this for decades. I’m sure I remember reading articles on this. Did I hallucinate that but somehow hallucinate it right?

Land of the Free, amiright‽

That is a frequently asked question.

Bullet through the battery should be pretty effective. Surely they are lithium batteries. They catch fire if they get a hole in 'em.

Have you seen Cool Hand Luke?

I’m reminded of the phrase vagina dentata

You aren’t wrong but you sound unhinged. That’s coming from someone who lives in the woods and runs Mint.

The CNC machines I run at work run from windows xp. IT disconnected them from the network, so I have to get.dxf files from my engineer on a thumb drive to program machining paths from. Ain’t that progress? No it’s lazy.

My wife was given a new work computer. Windows 11 and not enough RAM. She has been finding a new reason to hate it nearly every day, starting with how every change made to windows has fucked up her workflow in some way.
Me just nodding in acknowledgement as my little Dell Inspiron 15 purs along on Mint with Cinnamon.

I tried Ubuntu first, because I had heard of it, and too many things didn’t work. At the time I was still on that other link aggregator platform and the Linux nerds there told me to try Mint and they were right. It just worked and I have happily run that ever since. It does what I do and isn’t Microsoft or the overpriced fruit company. I have no urge to distro hop at all. Fussing with my computer isn’t fun for me, I just want to use it sometimes. I agree, though, Linux is good and there’s something for everyone.
Huh, I’ve been running Mint for a couple of years now and the only thing I have had it not talk to was an obsolete audio interface.

I just left a thread about analog clocks being removed from schools because the kids can’t read them. The comments alone were quite telling on how many humans don’t want to learn much of anything anymore.

Well, Microsoft can eat a bag of dicks.

Why wait? Linux Mint will run the shit out of your laptop right now.

Right, cause it’s just too late if you didn’t do it early enough to be cool. Guess I’ll just go submit to Microsoft then, I was too late, I can never be a real Linux user like you.

I landed on Mint after Ubuntu gave me some grief right after installing it and I wasn’t in the mood to chase it around. Mint installed super easy and has given me no trouble at all. It does what I do with a computer just fine.

It was. Linux Mint has been beautiful since I switched last year. Certainly nicer than windows.
Right‽ Why the fuck would you buy a fridge with any more than a compressor and a fan?

Throat that boot a little deeper there guy
Heh, which kind?
