You should read up on Mythos. It is very scary stuff.

I don’t understand the need for those. My smart tv is functioning exactly as a computer monitor. It is connected via a display connection to my computer, and nothing else. It does show a brief warning that it is unconnected to the internet whenever I turn it on, but it disappears after 10 seconds or so.

Well yeah, quackery will do that. Calling it “alternative medicine” only promotes it and the scammers who sells it, there is no medicine about it.

The “no morals” part is their main qualifier

These greedy morons are getting high off of their own supply

Vibecoding. Microslop has peddled AI so much that they have gotten addicted to their own supply.

The entire concept is build on reactionary ideology and has absolutely nothing constructive or positive about it. Everyone involved are a bunch of fascist assholes.

Your definition is so vague that it is quite useless in any descriptive context.

Many RAM producers have simply stopped producing DDR4, because it isn’t used in data centers.

They are creating staggering shortsighted profits, so yes, they are doing that. And of course ignoring what a bubble does in the long run.

Literal ghouls the lot of them.

Data centers in space sounds like one hell of an expensive investment for something that has not once shown any profitability yet, and are in fact most likely about to burst its bubble in the near future.

Their oligarch overlords are currently adding billions to their fortunes by peddling it. So of course the right wingers will open wide and guzzle down all of the AI diarrhea when they are told to do so.

It’s where the fascists hang out, so at least they found the right audience.

Indeed. I think the inevitable discussion about best distro, which always comes up in this context, is more hurtful than constructive, since it may end up confusing and scaring away potential Windows-defectors.
The point is to get them to try out linux and get a taste for it, and only when they have become comfortable with the concept and realised it is not so scary of a change that some people claim, should they begin to consider which distro is right for them.

Unlike with the GPU shortage, where the cryptomining gpus could be used by regular consumers, the datacenter ram and so on is not usable on personal computers. It is all going to be e-waste, and we will still have a shortage after the bubble burst.

So far they are sustaining each other in a giant circle jerk of investments. It is only going to implode when they run out of money, and the problem is they have a mindbogglingly huge amount of money.

They are ramping up production. But it all goes to AI data centers.
So 375 million will still only be a slap on the wrist.
