Same boat. After using Soldworks everything else feels soo unpolished. But I’ve tossed Photoshop for Gimp and it’s getting easier with time, so I’ll make this work too.

This bullshit right here is what finally pushed me over the edge and into the warm embrace of a penguin.

I know this is an old comment but for anyone in the future that’s wondering, I’m happy to say the Dell Pen does work out of the box on Mint. I tested with Krita and even the pressure sensitivity works perfectly!

On your company phone… right?

That’s awesome to hear! I’m currently running iode on a OnePlus11 and the built-in firewall and metwork monitoring is awesome! I don’t even use the paid version. Maybe I’ll give fairphone a try next.

Please, please don’t fucking ruin wikipedia! It’s possibly the most important website on the internet.

None, if you ditch windows.

And if it’s a gmail account you get to have two companies reading all of your mail!

Dell Latitude 5290. It’s starting to show it’s age but linux has made it snappy. Even runs lightweight steam games.

Mint runs great on my dell tablet. Touch screen works fine although I haven’t tried it with a pen yet.

I don’t give a shit about drama. You dig into anybody’s life deep enough and you’re going to find something you don’t like.
The software works well and the code is viewable. That’s what’s important to me.

Because our government is run by old dumbasses.

I couldn’t agree more. People are like, “Oh I would totally use an alternative phone/OS and/or degoogle… but mah baaanking app!! I shall give up all security, privacy and lick corporate boots for my baaanking app!”
I have accounts with nearly a dozen banks. I have zero banking apps on my phone. It’s had zero impact on my life. Chase Bank needed a phone call to switch 2FA to another method. That was it. My phone’s browser works fine.
YMMV in other countries.

This is the way.
Try it out. If everything works and you’re happy, click Install.

If you don’t mind disclosing, what bank is that?

Just use a web browser.
People act like they can’t live without these apps, which are often just a repackaged website anyway.

I pitty the fool that stores anything important on the cloud somebody elses computer.

If at all possible, anyone that cares about their privacy should be self hosting.
And repeat all this horseshit for 50 other things that should be a simple toggle or that way by default.
My only regret is waiting so long to switch to linux. It’s like leaving an abusive spouse for that sweet young thing you’d been crushing on.
