Too locked down for the average user.

… and a charging station capable of refilling it on a timescale competitive with the ~5 minutes it takes to refill a tank of gas for several hundred miles range.
You could argue that about ANY EV yet they’re still selling even though the charge times aren’t on par with gas fill up times. ESPECIALLY with gas/diesel prices going up in the US.

How do they work‽

Yes, which Usenet Server service?

No.

Buying a Usenet plan is like buying a cell phone plan in the 90’s; there’s limits and download caps and is my Usenet group restricted and all sorts of things to figure out.
Buying a VPN doesn’t have download caps and restrictions on specific websites. It just works.
And, yes, buying access to a VPN is not only radically easier but can also be used on my phone / laptop / etc to prevent advertisement/ISP snooping. Can I do that with a Usenet subscription?

Agreed. I’ve been waiting for Super Mario Run to go on sale for the iPhone. This year (September) will be 10 years it’s been on iPhone and I don’t think it’s ever gone on sale.
Fuck Nintendo.
Aaand, of course, I checked after I wrote this and it’s on sale for half price.
I think the hubbub was because the states were legalizing something illegal at the federal level and that wasn’t a precedent that had been set yet.
