Funny. I have a property on booking.com, so I also know the other side. They love to tell the host that they are liable to pay for the alternate accommodation booking gives the guests in case of double bookings. This is actually my second biggest fear as a host, to get a huge hotel bill during peak season if for some reason a double booking slips through. It’s right after people burning the place down.

„The room I booked said sea view and own bathroom. The one I got the key for has a shared bathroom outside and there’s a wall outside the window. Also, it hasn’t been cleaned. There’s nobody here and they don’t answer the phone“ Booking.com human, after arguing with their moronic AI for a while: I am sorry, all I can offer you is a 10% refund.

That’s the point unfortunately.
Because the article is terribly low on actual information, below is the spec for 5G network locations services. In short, the network can ask devices to assist in locating them. Without the users consent or knowledge.
My best guess is that apple will reduce in accuracy or outright remove those features. Unless the user dials an emergency number of course.
Also, the devices named are the first ones with apples own modem, so it can be assumed that Qualcomm did not give Apple sufficient access to their modems to do this.

Lots of companies have it as the one and only option. Worked so well with internet explorer for them, I believe.

You forgot the (classic)

That’s not how science works.

Everything and anything to get your login and data. Fuck off, Microsoft.

I would be very surprised if Germany continues to oppose. Our new government is made up of conservatives who believe as long as they do the spying everything is good and nothing can go wrong - and famously spineless social democrats.

Are it my management decisions that are wrong? No, it must be those lazy employees.

Combine salt and water to create electricity to power a desalination plant that removes salt from water. I am sure there is more to it, but the article sounds like it’s one of those mad perpetual free energy schemes that defy the laws of physics.

While pushing right wing and Russian „news“ I assume.

“I have Democrat friends and Republican friends. I get along with almost everyone, but I have never worked with a more miserable son of a bitch in my life.”
„Everyone hates Ted“

Probably trying to be all official and presidential and stuff.
You probably can use your tv without it using you, or probably not.
I, too, use pihole. But it does not prevent your data from leaking 100% and never will. And it’s easily circumvented by using other DNS servers or even by connecting to hardcoded IPs. I dont know specifically about TVs, but some manufacturers do that.
The only way to make sure that TV can never spy is to never connect it to the internet.
Hundreds of snapshots a second? So my tv has at least 200 Hz? Or do they snap the same frame multiple times just for fun?
I despise ads because they steal time, and their very existence is an insult to the people that are exposed to them. All ads tell me is „your time is worth very little and we believe you are easily manipulated“.
Based on average ad length and cost on YouTube, ChatGPT has calculated that advertisers pay about $9 per hour of ads. While that seems a bit high to me, it is plausible. My time is worth more than that.
Yes, I do pay for YouTube premium. Though in a cheaper country, because the normal price is excessive imho.
Bring it to Wuhan you said? Inject it into some bats? Sure, if you want it!
