Obama was the perfect transitional president in office during the shifts of power going on in the USA.

While many rightly say the USA has always been a cesspool, it was fundamentally changing due to the global economy changing. He was very careful to not interfere, while he projected a sense of Camelot and calm.

Basically he was fiddling while Rome burned and that worked out well for him.

There is no way people can be asked about confidence without explaining which goals; and once those multiple, contradictory and insane goals are fully explained it would invalidate the poll.

This video is probably the start of a very disturbing trend. Given most of the administration’s previous crimes with children and women, they can and will keep pushing the envelope to include what they personally enjoy

The only way the United States can be reformed as a nation is by non democratic socialism being imposed .

But as federal oversight grows weaker I think some states will try, on their own , to come up with solutions to avoid their citizens from being so harmed by the corruption

Many hate mail in ballots because these are not as easily corrupted.

The more people will cast their votes on privately controlled and unregulated voting machines, the better it is for the wealthy.

Some states have no such devil machines. In which case the restricting participation is a bonus

It may be difficult to self host for many years without significant downtime. I have some repos over 20 years old, and have gone through several boom and bust cycles myself.

While all these bills, that have the backing of a tiny minority of lawmakers, seem good. It’s only performative art which fools some people to think the government is still valid.

Yes, a regional power that is run by evil people. But this is probably the last military campaign far away, at least I hope so. I think it really depends on fast the American bases collapse worldwide

The USA is incapable of building up its military; it could not before this extra handicap.

And while it does have massive defense spending, I think most is lost to graft, bribes and theft. Probably the true weight of its military budget is 10% of the amount ( so 90% lost to crime)

At best, the us military has remnants of a world spanning military, and will be only a regional power when it expends stuff, or has things destroyed, that it cannot replace

I just think there will be a shift in the no kings march; and a change in the opposition rhetoric, at a minimum

I think I was frustrated because nobody I talked to wanted to learn the context. Indeed, their entire political participation demanded they ignore it.

It took me a few years to understand it in that way.

And for the longest time I was mystified why the marginalized people could see it plainly while anyone who participated anywhere on the political spectrum : - from progressive to liberal to libertarian to mega to religious extremist , and the mainstream news - ignored the basics of democracy. It was to me, the most peculiar thing about American culture

These things drive me crazy ; mostly because most people who are politically active blithely ignore that

It’s a feature and not a bug, because it’s working as designed.

America has not been a democracy that counts votes accurately in federal elections.
