Because every piece of data they have on you can (and will) be used to manipulate (and hence control) you. Make you buy products you don’t want, think things you wouldn’t have thought and do things you wouldn’t have done. Are you aware of how much they control what you see, hear and read? Do you not think they would leverage this power to their advantage?

You might want to switch to CoMaps. Most developers fled there after the owners of Organic Maps showed shady behaviour regarding donations and the future of the project

Nebula is great. Lots of original content, varied catalog and you get to see lots of stuff before it comes out on YouTube (if it even does, as there’s also extended Nebula-only videos)

They’re closing in on alternative ROMs with their fucking shitty device integrity checks, I’m afraid it’s only getting worse. I literally had to switch back to stock Android because none of the e-government apps of the country I live in NOR two out of my three banks work on /e/. Literally impossible to participate in society unless I sell my soul to Google, sadly.
