Well… That’s their own fault.

Well… That’s their own fault.

It depends on your use case of course. A simple website is sufficient like you said using a orange pi. Running your own LLM model at home is not sufficient. Or compiling the Linux kernel. Or 4k gaming…

Who is still using Windows at this point, lol?
yea yah just like Humane Ai Pin… I want to see it ship first. then let me know.

It actually has improved a lot in the past 15 years. The problem is two fault: Enshittification/price hikes and software. Software because people still use Windows, so you don’t feel the improvements. And enshittification in multiple forms like you get less for more money, Raspberry Pi is a good example of that. You are better of with other brands today like BananaPi or just a mini-PC, if you are looking for a small device with some decent specs.
Of course now we also have AI, which made it like 30x worse for every consumer, its not just GPUs or memory, its CPU, nvme storage, … basically everything… So I really hope this AI bubble burst sooner than later now.

Its a Dutch number notation.

Good. I’m sick of all those ddos attack and bot attacks from other cloud provides like alibaba etc.

I don’t like uploading IDs. But recently I block almost all datacenters across the world due to ddos attack or other malicious attacks on my websites. So I don’t think it’s a bad idea to keep the web better. It’s a mess today due to all those cheap cloud providers

I have 50.000 dollars of server hardware and zero visitors. 😵😜

Pretty sure it’s again some kind of cloud credits or any other way for them to earn back the money.

Tech is still cool, but subscriptions are not. That is why I like self hosting and open source so much.

Yes I know. It’s just not the latest and greatest. But that became clear after reading the full article. Initially I thought, seeing the title alone, that there was a competitor delivering a similar machine.

But note, it’s still using the asml machines. Title is a bit misleading maybe.

Thus far I notice it in steam for games. But that’s just an easy birthday field. Or some pop up on sites.
With trading apps or bank apps, I do have experience with these id verification software. Which isn’t great, but apparently mandatory. Anything else I will refuse to submit id’s

Exactly. This is also why Ai doesn’t really truly understand the responses it gives back.
It’s faking intelligence by the training data, so it seems like intelligence by an untrained eye, but in reality Ai is just an hallucination that tries it best to give the most likely and correct answer possible (again without understanding).

Hallucinations are by design for Ai. It’s just advanced next word predictions. So all answers (correct or wrong) are doing through the same hallucination process.

So it’s not called Microsoft 365 copilot anymore then? Since that is fully focused for business and not for entertainment. Make up your fking mind Microsoft

Oopsy… I want the Tesla batteries, so I can use it has my home battery.

Thanks! I use OPNsense, I do already have set several block lists actually like FireHOL 1,2,3 and 4.
I found the community plugin called os-crowdsec. I will try it set it up: https://docs.crowdsec.net/docs/next/getting_started/install_crowdsec_opnsense/
I want to avoid Cloudflare :)… And yes I know fail2ban will not catch these kind of AI bots or DDos attacks. Even if its a brute force attack, most bad actors are using a botnet with 100.000’s of unique IPs… Fail2ban would be no help either in that case.
EDIT: I also found another block list: https://threathive.net/. Which updates every 15 min. This one is great I think as well. So the list would be: https://threathive.net/hiveblocklist.txt
I migrating to GitLab (my own hosted instance) or I plan to move to https://codefloe.com/
