Well this is sure reassuring coming from one of the most reliable pillars of our internet architecture which hasn’t recently crashed the entire internet at all.

CEO translation: “Please buy our 6g equipment: here’s a spurious justification”. I remember how VR/AR was supposed to be the justification for why we needed 5g speeds.

Most non native games run okay under the emulation layers, and more arm games are coming out now with so many arm platforms coming online.

I didn’t feel it’s such a dire situation. I’m curious what MS software is still not ported? I’d assume it’s more obscure administrative or programming stuff? I thought all of office, etc is ported. The x86 emulation seems good enough for any other stuff where max performance isn’t needed. I think AI is the main workload they are targeting here which I’m pretty sure would work great. But yeah maybe some 3d programs haven’t been ported to arm yet.

The same people buying the high end MacBook pros I would assume . I guess people working with 3D rendeding and AI workloads?

You forgot about the absolute piece of shit log that they threw in there containing Xitter just to burn off the profits.

You can go for an equal weight s&p to avoid the oversized influence of the mag 7 and the other oversized bubble stocks.

When the crash finally comes, whoever goes all in on short sells in Tesla, Palantir, and SpaceX will be so fucking rich.

Anyone who didn’t learn their lesson from the Nest debacle is a fool. I would never let another Google device into my home.

I can honestly say I’ve never wanted to shoot, stab, or otherwise greviously injure someone. I’ve gotten into some fistfights when emotions have gotten out of hand, but this is maybe why its important that everyone is not running around with a way to blast holes in people.

See graduation speakers, it’s not that hard now, is it?

Yeah if something is important enough that I need an interpreter instead of just fumbling through it with my bad second language skills, it will be a human. Things like that require understanding nuance and context and being able to say “sorry I didn’t get that” so that they get it right.

Congrats this is the first realistic comment about AI I’ve seen not get down voted to hell.

They are talking about $200 pro tiers for the good models. The only way I will still be using them is on a pay per token basis for really important or time consuming stuff where I can justify the spend. Certainly not worth it just as a Google search where I don’t have to sort through the results myself.

Looks like we’ve found an even better way to keep the stupidest people off Lemmy.

Yeah that’s pretty much the trifecta of doing everything people hate.

What about all the subsidies we pay on gas? Maybe get rid of those if you want some revenue?

Twitter being paid for with our tax dollars is the first explanation I’ve heard which sounds like a way this company could actually continue to function.
That’s being generous. It’s a cash incinerator.
