Yeah, they’d never put an unsafe vehicle into production. It would help boost confidence if someone explained what the backup plan is.

Here in Sweden the government recently lowered taxes on groceries so that the stores would lower their prices for customers. lol

I think they meant “safe” with regard to reproductive ability. It sounds like they’re happy with targeting meiosis, not with using JQ1 specifically.

The “in mice” part is actually really exciting to me because male pet mice have to be kept solitary to prevent pregnancies and aggression with other males, but they still have social needs. It would be amazing if they could be kept with females full-time with no pregnancy risk.
Would also be nice to keep mixed-mischiefs of rats since their personalities and behaviors are somewhat sexually divergent. You could have a couple busy girls and a couple cuddly boys without having to take turns free roaming.

It’s not impossible at all. You just have to blur the faces and any identifying marks unless you’ve obtained explicit consent. Kind people already do this regularly.

That’s fair enough. I just wanted to make sure I understand what you meant. I don’t think I agree, but I’m not certain I disagree either.

The parents are also suffering from the negative medical effects of algorithms designed to manipulate and addict. You’re asking why a victim of drug abuse isn’t a more responsible parent.

I’m not trying to do a gotcha, but doesn’t your post also mean that Lemmy is bad and no one should use it?

No one said we know everything about our biology. But we’re made up of particles, just like everything else. We don’t fully understand those particles either, but it doesn’t make them not real or not subject to the rules reality seems to follow.
They actually make little pills you can swallow to take samples at certain locations a long your digestion, so I suppose I could, given the knowledge and resources. Surgical sampling is also possible.
But I don’t see why it matters because all of the bacteria and archaea present in the body are made up of subatomic particles.

We’re not actually individuals; we’re massive colonies of cells that work in concert. Memories and consciousness are both products of chemical interactions that happen between the cells, and the cells themselves are conglomerates of subatomic particles. Everything about us is determined by particle physics, which can be expressed and predicted mathematically.

I don’t mean to argue against flowers, but why specifically Pennsylvania? What about everywhere else?

What if what I’m looking for is an article I can’t read without subscribing, removing my adblock, and/or accepting a bunch of cookies? Or one that sends me away entirely because that’s easier than being GDPR-compliant? Surely you’d click on those results.

Here’s an alternative I found in another thread:
Is there a reason an emailing group isn’t a good solution?

No, they don’t. I love technology for its entertainment and educational benefits, but it’s horrible that this kid is so familiar with screens that they don’t understand you can’t zoom a book. Screens don’t allow one to feel textures, see depth, or manipulate objects in space, among other vital educational activities. Young brains need to be stimulated by real-world phenomena in order to develop properly. Our children deserve better.

The real benefit of fasting is feeding one’s precious akkermansias. But it doesn’t do any good if you then carpet bomb the poor things with sugar during your feeding window, which is possibly where a lot of folks are going wrong. Not all calories are equal because you aren’t the only one eating.

If, when the ad read starts, you double-tap to fast forward, a little skip button will pop up which allows you to skip the sponsored section.
With a browser addon you can skip automatically without Premium. It doesn’t work with very fresh videos though, because they need time for the timestamps to get added into the database.

There is a TON of educational content on YouTube. You can spend all day watching nothing but documentaries and classroom-style lectures/tutorials if you want. I would prefer to not use a Google service, but the actual content-creators include some wonderful people.
Also some plastics are made renewably and/or are biodegradable. It’s a broad range of materials.
