For whatever reason, my brain read “Youngstown” where you put “Lost in the Flood” and I spent a good 2 minutes thinking, “What in the world is cringe in Youngstown?”
This is pretty much entirely my position, too: its existence, regardless anything else, is a net good, in the end. And hopefully juices the inclination of others to join in. Momentum is built on encouragement.
It’s funny: I agree with you but for inverse (sort of) reasons.
The music, for me, is fine; maybe not what I would’ve gone for in the current climate but fairly distinctly Bruce Springsteen and he’s done a lot with simple melodies a good amount of times. Sort of reminds me of “The Line”, off of The Ghost of Tom Joad, or some other stuff he’s done before that I can’t quite place my finger on.
It’s those lyrics; when I heard he wrote it so quickly, I was kinda like, “Yeah; this certainly feels rushed…” Especially from the artist where the writing is, generally, the most outstanding part of any song he does. I could be wrong as I’m mostly going off of my first impression but it just feels massively less inpactful than his past work. Like he slapped lyrics together so quickly that they don’t even properly fit the tune of the song (that moment in the first verse where he stretches “story” out into three syllables kills me).
It’s more that he’s comfortable associating with fascists than one outright (I don’t know that we know enough about his own political stances).
Shortly after Trump was elected a second time, he tweeted, “10 years ago, Republicans were the party of big business and Dems stood for the little guys, but today the tables have completely turned,” (https://archive.ph/iKaz3). Which, like…the first time Trump won, I might see; the second time – though –, Trump’s made clear his desire to threaten and harm everyone within reach. The further along we go in his second term, the more he’s followed through on what he’d been promising the entire campaign.
While I, likewise, disagree with the tech. inclinations of certain camps of the Democrats, that by and far wouldn’t convince me to throw my support behind the fascist leader who’s spent 8 years, now, harming and indicating he’ll harm huge swaths of communities and populations.
As far as I know, that’s usually what people are referring to and the precariousness of trusting an individual who’d make decisions like this.

Their new one, the FLX1s has 2GiB more RAM (for 8GiB, in total). I’ve heard battery gets 2 days without charge even with Android emulation.

Yeah; that’s totally fair. Mostly, I just want to get it more known; whenever Mobile Linux come up, people namedrop Purism, the Pinephone, maybe UBPorts and the general conclusion is that the spec.s, alone, of what’s available are pretty much a non-starter.
There’s definitely aspects of this phone that some people wouldn’t go for but I’d rather sales be limited by not-the-right-choice than just no one knew it existed; especially when any progress can get sent upstream and improve future projects, as well.
