Very cool of him to have a spokesperson for the EFF on, they have tirelessly been fighting the good fight for decades now, they deserve all the spotlight.

Man you guys just can’t catch a break…

It has affected how I speak and interact with people. It’s a bit like, it’s being so ridiculously safe and diplomatic all the time that it kind of rubbed off on me. I use it a lot for casual conversation and exploring concepts and ideas and kind of like a springboard to test my perhaps more controversial talking points.

I have to say, in some small way it has been an inprovement. I still say the same thing, but the framing has changed, I try to make my point clearly and stay assertive in face of pushback without getting personal, either by accident or relying on older more entrenched thought patterns that aren’t always conducive to constructive communication.

I’m sure my experience isn’t typical, but for what it’s worth, that’s mine.

Weaponized reposting. Posts and connents. That was a thing before AI too. Remember, who was it, maybe POTATO_IN_MY_ANUS, who looked up super old reposts and cut n pasted the top scoring comment from them…

17 years, maybe 50 accounts, 1 major sub, tons of minor ones, sone of which I miss, fukn every time. You get psychotically drunk ONE TIME… And what do you get? Like we helped make that place for better or for worse.

Yeah I miss asking super niche questions on certain subs, because there’s usually enough users to have a prompt reply.

But fediverse is growing, slowly. Sadly best way to keep growing it is to stay and promote it on Reddit, everyone who’s fed up for the same reasons we are are ripe for the plucking.

Comes with a bunch of idiots, of course, myself included so YMMV.

And their bans really stick. If you piss them off enough, they connect every account you’ve ever had, somehow, and the ones they miss, if you log in it’s a matter of days before they catch on.

It’s kind of impressive, actually.

That was a thing WAY before AI and bots tho…

I am getting all the more confident that China will win that war. The US has been performing lousy over the past few seasons of War, and the new US management and owners instill anything but confidence in the team.

I would be wary of wearing anything that can fold me into a briefcase.
