Bro I signed up for openai’s ai when it wasn’t a thing yet 2years prior to chatgpt and they where saying its dangerous so only researchers get access to it same as mythos. I entered literal gibberish bullshit into a form and ticked a box promising not to use it for bad things and they gave me access so I doubt anthropic are going to be any more secure.

Open code is great (note the 2 different incompatible competing forks and the drama around that) it’s a full tui tho. It has free minimax m2.5 and open routers offers it on a per token price. I find that if mimax is struggling then glm5 is also great although a bit more pricy (still infinitely cheaper than any of the mainstream frontier labs).

The mandatory ai isn’t to make the employees faster or more efficient its to get all the data of u correcting the ai in doing ur job. Same reason I run [email protected] that’s not just to provide news summaries that’s mainly to get the data of people correcting its mistakes which I can all feed in as a signal for making my bot better at trading decisions. Lemmy hating on ai is really useful it provides one of the last bastions where I can get a real human in the loop. The problem is if everyone uses it then it creates great pressure for others to also use it. I try to avoid it as best I can and prefer to only use platform where I can post under a variety of names without hard links to my real identity.
