Your math is right. I was just thinking of a Byte as $1.00 and going from there. Then remembered that bits are smaller, but they shouldn’t be $1 because a single bit is not very powerful. But making it worth $1 or $0.01 would make the math messier.

A byte is 8 bits. Even if we want to call bits quarters ($0.25) and bytes dollars, 69KB would be $69,000! That’s a lot of dollars.

Do you verify with each driver to make sure they end up getting the money? Uber has obfuscated tipping for drivers FOR YEARS.

I looked it up and saw that Uber was misleading/lying about a portion of the cost of a trip going to drivers. But from what I’ve read, including from Uber drivers themselves, the tips do seem to go to the driver as is paid by the passenger.

They both report it to Uber and Uber decides who’s trolling. If the same passenger is being turned away by every driver, that passenger is probably a troll. And vice versa.

Taxi drivers and taxi companies rip off passengers. Taxi companies don’t do fixed rates agreed-upon before the trip.

Public transit can’t always get me where I need to go when I need to get there in a reasonable time (but it is my first choice when it’s too far or unpleasant to walk).

If the issue is the drivers not being paid well, then tip well.

When taxis and/or public transit can improve their services to the point where Uber doesn’t replace them, then Uber will be redundant.
